How to Use This List
A ranked list is a starting point, not a decision. Here is how to turn it into the right choice for your child.
Check the License First
Every center above is a licensed provider, but inspection histories change. Search each one on DCYF Child Care Check before you tour so you can ask about anything you see.
Tour Your Top Three
Websites and lists cannot show you how teachers talk to children. Visit during the school day, bring the same questions to each center, and trust what you see over what you read. Our guide to choosing a daycare has the full question list.
Local vs. National
National chains offer consistency and school-age care. Local centers like Lil' Patriots offer owners you can talk to, lower turnover, and flexibility on things like a week off per month. Decide which matters more to your family.
Ask What Is Included
Two centers with the same tuition can cost very different amounts once meals, preschool curriculum, registration fees, and supply fees are added. Ask for the all-in monthly number at each one.
